I've always loved big art, and dream of being able to paint murals on my walls, but seeing I'm renting, no go on the mural, because I'd just have to paint it over when I move. So, quite awhile back, I bought a big 4'x2' canvas, and have been working on it for several months off and on. And yesterday I finally finished it.



As for boring stats, it's mostly acrylic on canvas, the birds are both clipped from album art (Death Cab For Cutie's Transatlantacism and Smashing Pumpkin's Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness.) and decoupaged on. Some of the side designs used handmade stencils, or things like leaves I picked up out in the yard, everything else is totally freehand, and not even pre-sketched, I just painted and hoped it came out all right, these would be, the little blue flowers, the vines/purple flowers, and the big flower thing in the center. Oh an no I didn't edit the colors on my computer, I swear the center flower really does look like that.
