And another introduction!

I found the f-word blog and consequently the messageboard when looking for, uh, I'm not even sure what -- it probably had something to do with HAES and my needing statistics to throw at some annoying fatphobic troll on another messageboard. I'm a body-positive feminist daughter of a hypothyroidic feminist mother, so you can see why I stuck around.

I'm 27, have had disordered eating (starving and binging -- I was saved from bulimia by simply being incapable of vomiting: I couldn't do that even when I had a legitimate food poisoning!) in the past but am now in that happy place where these are not issues for me 99% of the time. I figure the occasional relapse has more to do with other things that simply manifest as body image issues.

Um, what else? I live in Germany with my German BF to whom I proposed almost a year ago (getting married next spring, once I remember to book an appointment at the damned magistrate...) and spend my days obsessing over whatever my German teacher tried to explain that day. I lift weights, read, cook, drink the occasional glass of wine, and try to enjoy each day as it comes, just like on the twelve-step-programme...

And kudos to whoever mentioned Terry Pratchett. I love those books.
