I haven't considered sterilization, but I have been thinking about getting this form of birth control -- forget the name of it offhand - but it's an inter-uterine device made of copper (no hormones) and lasts up to 10 years.

I'm on the pill. Have been since I was 21. I have very painful periods, and the pill helps to make it bearable.
