Administrative news
Things have been hectic the past few days and I haven’t had a chance to post anything new. Spring break ended and classes resumed this week, which, combined with our home improvement projects, have left me with precious few time.
I did receive my official acceptance letter for admission into the University of Cincinnati’s history graduate program, along with a scholarship worth 70 percent of my tuition. I turned down the teaching assistantship offer due to lack of time.
The first year of graduate school is filled with general-type classes. You don’t really get into your field of study until the second year, which, for me, is the social history and psychology of food in 20th century America. But, I’ve been working on bits and pieces of my thesis in my senior year undergraduate classes so I have about a fourth of my master’s thesis completed already.
As soon as I get a chance to catch my breath, posting will resume.
