Holiday gift exchange?

Holiday gift exchange?

posted in Administrative |

Would anyone be interested in an The-F-Word reader gift exchange?  Here’s how it would work:  You’d send me an email with your real name and address and a few lines about yourself, what, if any, seasonal holiday you observe and your interests by Wednesday, Dec. 9.  On Thursday, I will send you the name and info of another reader who wants to participate.  I know budgets are tight now due to the recession and holiday season, so there would be a $5 maximum limit on gifts.  You would then send your recipient the gift by Friday, Dec. 18.

If you’re interested in participating, please send me a note at Rachel (at) the-f-word (dot) org by Dec. 9 with the above info.  Thanks!

Update: The deadline to participate has now passed.  I am compiling addresses and will be sending out the names of your recipients soon.  Thanks!

Don’t look like a big rush. Only downside I see is shipping costs. Sent a small box the other day.

    15 bucks for 7 days
    18 for 2 days

It had CD Rom Reader in it. 10 inches long, 5 tall and 4 wide.

I did my gift exchange by purchasing TV for Nursing Home Resident (it will stay in the home), along with DVD Player and Wall Mount. WallyWorld at 5am on Black Friday.

Just visiting somone in home over Christmas is a good way to do something. I don’t recommend food they cannot eat. (check with the home). Booze works for some, Food Others and so on.

Sorry to take over your Blog. My thoughts.

Keep Warm. 9f today, -1 tomorrow. But it’s Sunny!

Actually, I’ve had nearly 10 people email me wanting to take part. If you keep gifts small and use media mail, I think shipping costs should be fairly nominal. And I echo the idea that food probably isn’t the best gift to send, considering that many who visit here have conflicted relationships with food.
